How Bella Tucker's Brave Story Began

On Easter Sunday, 2010 over the course of 12 hours, 8 year old Bella Tucker of Londonderry, NH and Chelmsford, MA went from enjoying an Easter Egg Hunt with her cousins to being med-flighted to Children's Hospital Boston with a serious infection called Streptococcus Pneumoniae Sepsis with DIC (disseminated intravascular coagulation). She remained in a coma for five days but through the efforts of all the doctors and nurses, survived the ordeal. However, she suffered extensive damage to all four limbs.

On April 27th, her life severely changed when Bella Tucker had quadruple amputation surgery. After multiple surgeries and nearly five months at Children's Hospital, Bella was transfered to Spaulding Rehab in Boston on August 18th, 2010. She has a lust for life that just won't quit and her strength, courage and incredible attitude have become an inspiration to everyone she meets.

Check back for updates on Bella's recovery.
